Post in this thread if you're looking for someone to debate with, along with your topic suggestions, debate style suggestions and such. You're old enough to figure this out for yourself.

Anyone wanna take me on discussing who the next Leading Political Paarty in Canada should be? You can pick your Party, Mine is the Canadian Alliance!

Sure, I will be the Bloc...

Forget about it, I am leaving for 3 weeks going to Quebec, so no real time to debate...

Jul 3 2003, 04:19 AM
Alright, any other takers then? This can be a multi person debate with many different people, as long as they all have different parties to argue over! From Pot Part to Liberal folks, take your pick and come out swinging!

I will argure on behalf of the Parti Populaire des Putes because I am not Canadian and their site is entirely in French while I am an American. I would specify that that makes me monolingual but that would be redundant.
Therefore, given these credentials, you have no chance.

I invite anyone to debate Raiders gender, using his comments on these boards as evidence to build a case.
I am serious by the way.

Jul 3 2003, 06:57 PM
Alright do we want to wait for a couple more people and have a multi person debate or just go ahead and start?
Cerian
Jul 5 2003, 08:57 PM
Actually I'd rather have my debate challenge left as the facetious lark that it is so I don't have to argue for the People's Prostitute Party or whatever the hell the PPP is. Something to do with hookers.
Saber Ducannon
Jul 10 2003, 02:29 AM
Ok you go first then!

As long as it doesn't degrade into a flamefest, sure.

What gender do you wish to claim? I would personally prefer to argue he is without gender, indeed, androgenous.

"The Failed War On Drugs" will be debated between Dr Alexander Hamilton and Invincible POOP
Invincible POOP
Sep 9 2003, 05:49 AM
actually I am hereby requesting Ro4444 to take AH's place. I came to UP looking for a challenge, not another stupid troll to chew up and spit out. I don't know Ro so he may be just another idiot but atleast his post in that thread (before it was deleted) was on topic and addressed some major issues with the legalization of drugs (which I was about to crush) but anywho. Unless AH decides to actually answer the question I have posted and provide some kind of background for whatever he has already posted I'd rather Ro took his place.
Also I'm unfamiliar with this duel idea, who are the judges? Is there a winner declared or is it just for the betterment of independant thinking and both parties walk away with a better knowledge of the other side of the fence?
Next time I will specifically request a specific poster rather than just leaving it open to anyone to avoid getting Sam clones like AH

Depends on what sort of communism. Utopian theoretical communism is nice and utopian.
Actual communism on the other hand...
Could be fun, but others got here first, and Im probably too sick to keep up. Oh well...
Edit: Missed that, damn now I look kinda foolish...
Whats your definition of anarcho-communism?
Section 8
Oct 27 2003, 11:06 PM
Anarcho-Communism is relatively the same as communism, except it excludes socialism. The end product is mostly the same.
Anyone who wants to debate, just make a topic and I'll respond. Thanks.

Is anarcho communism the one where we're supposed to live together without government, propert yor any of that stuff, or is that something else?

http://dwardmac.pitzer.edu/Anarchist_Archi...whatis_toc.htmlNow mind you, I don't believe all that's in that book, but most. Yes it's anarchy what do you think. No government, law, property.
I'm still waiting if anyone wants to debate it just post a topic.

Apparently not.
So I assume you all agree the practice should be banned and weeded out with great prejudice?

Depending on the specifics of the arguement, i might have a go at the communist one if the others drop out

Edit: Well...that's what happens when you forget to log in and read the end of the first page as the end of the thread. But never the less, i'm open to participate in one. I'm reading through the communist anarchism thing now....
It'd be nice if the person wanting to debate it could get it started though, cause i'm not entirely sure what they're arguing for....and i don't really want to put words in their mouth...
Sir Buckethead

Well, gsaneli's gone. Anybody wana debate on a pet theory of mine: That we should ban the automatic drafting of workers into unions and invalidate all current agreements specifying such?

So you want to argue for Right to Work? Hmmm....One of the few things we agree on it seems, you should really clear up the last part of your thesis though.
