Full Version: WW2 vs. terrorism comparison
Utopia-Politics > Utopia Politics > The Duel
Demosthenes
I think these two wars could be accurately linked, and I'd like to debate whether they are or not on any of these points:

-Both wars we used appeasement before the critical point (Danzig or war, 9/11)
-Both wars are rooted in extremism (Nazi Ideals, Islamic Fundamentalism)
-Nazis wouldn't stop until Nazi Law was established globally; terrorists won't stop until Sharia law rules the entire nation
- Both are anti-semetic
- Both sides have/had plenty of sympayhizers in the Western World

1 billion Muslims

70 million Germans.

Germans killed around 30 million people, how many will Islamist take with them?

Demosthenes
A serious comparison I find between them is the unwillingness to denounce these perverted teachings by many prominent islamists, much like some Germans kept mum about the Nazis.

I have some more links for you...

- Both Bin Laden and Hitler had tangible support from members of the Bush family at some time in their evil making.
- Both times the US sat on it's hand or manipulated the situation for profit until some part of it bit them on the arse.
- Both times the world has been reluctant to provide adequate aid to Russia, even when they are facing the same enemy as the rest of the world.
- On both occasions, the allies have resorted to attacking civilians as part of a "Shock and Awe" campaign.

And we still defeated them. Case closed.

Well here's a little tip...

The war on terror isn't over.

We haven't won yet.

I know, I was generalising, apologies.

Ryan, whats your obsession with comparing numbers?

Do I have to repeat the Stalin quote for you? Its true on many levels, that "One death is a tradgedy, a million deaths are merely a statistic".

Sorry, but evil is not based on numerical score.
