Trolling/Spamming nearly exclusively. Signal:noise ratio nonexistent, due to absence of signal.

At least, that's what the mods tell me. I'm busy trying to move, so I passed the decision off to one of them and have them checking each other to take the pressure off.

EDIT: I also know that there's ways of getting a new IP - public computers, anonymous proxies, ISP change, and so on.

Further, IP checks are not conclusive even when they do match. I have three IPs I've posted from - two ISPs, and one from the Library - and Ed has a single ISP which matches one of mine. Does that mean that we're the same person?

Incorrect, I was banned due to paranoia. If you check the most recent entry in my warn log, you will see it is an accusation of being a multi, not any lack of signal.
