We do this on another forum of mine, and it's actually a lot of fun.

Basically, one person will ask a question pertaining to any period of any country's history. Someone else will then answer the question. If they're right, they post a question of their own, the trick being that the previous questioneer cannot answer. They may, however, answer the NEXT question. This way you don't get two people just asking one another question after question...

The only other rule is that there has to be an objective answer that can be posted without an essay. Oh, and there's a 24 hour time limit on each question. If not answered within that timeframe, the asker gets to put up another question. If they keep on asking really, really obscure, trivial questions, we lynch them and someone else gets a chance.

I'll start the bidding with: Name the man who is considered to be the first emperor of the United States, and the means by which he obtained this title.

Since Bar-Aram as asked a question I'll just give the answer.

Himmler was dismissed by Hitler in the last months of the war. Karl Hanke took his place as Reichsfuhrer, but for obvious reasons only filled the spot for a few months. On the eve of Germany's capitulation he fled. Some say he ran to Czechoslovakia where he was subsequently shot, others say he managed to escape to South America.

Egypt it is, although the state in particular is named after the dynasty that was ruling then and their rule wasn't confined to Egypt alone. They fought a lot with the Seljuks and the Byzantines before the arrival of the First Crusade. This should make the answer easy enough to figure out.

Anyway, it was the Caliph al-Hakim of the Fatimids (quite insane it seems) who destroyed many holy sites for both Christians and Jews, including the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem in 1009, and killed many Christians and Jews. Technically, he didn't actually officially found the Druze faith himself, but his followers (including al-Darazi) founded it and settled in the Lebanese Mountains right after his death. But he was the inspiration.

A funny thing. It's said that he had a large black slave named Mas'oud that would walk around with him in the streets of Cairo. Any shopkeepers that he caught cheating during his strolls were sodomized right there on the spot, in public, by Mas'oud. :)
