I never said they favoured slavery; you, howeve,r have said that "traitors" shoudl not be revered.

Kosovar albanians had a reason to rebel. The reason wasnt anything like they wanted to keep slavery.

Besides, rebels and traitors are different things.

Please, the reason one can justify the Declaration of Independence is *not* the fact that the taxes where high but that they were levied without the subjects having any say on it.

The south *did* have a legal course to try to prevent tariffs: Congress. Theat they failed to mobilize the political support neccessary does not justify rebellion. It would be a vastly different thing had they never been asked.
