What does it feel like to live in a nation that is a pale shadow of its former self?

About as good as a country needing its former Colonial master which created it to send 8,000 troops to Iraq to garner up support for its Coalition.

I suspect Ryan was referring to the 1st Iraq war, not the recent one.

Its called diplomacy. We dont really need you, it just looks good on paper.

Anyway, how does it feel knowing all your complaints about America wont have any affect other than making Americans dislike you more?

Interesting point, did you realise that the US and France could both technically be considered part of the commonwealth should they wish it?

Who said I hated the US? I'm probably the only person in the UK who likes the US and its policies regarding things such as the Middle East.

And the thing about diplomacy? Well alright, considering we're your biggest ally over there, and are doing a better job of peace keeping and building and recruiting against insurgents, then fine, you find another 8,000 troops to do the job, and strain your efforts even further. :D

Yep, considering Fiji became part of the Commonwealth, even though it was owned by France at one point, its fine by me.

british people go years without seeing the sun.

Many go to places like ibizza to experience 'the sun'. Unfortunately they go a little bit insane probably through overstimulus.

well that generally would obviously depend on what time of the year it is, although russian is accurate, it is generally grey, although suprisingly the weather hasnt been to bad lately...it's not great today however.... :(

and no russian not everyone goes to Ibiza to get some 'sun'...i'd make a sterotypical generalization....but i wont......

Better than seeing the grey in a labour camp in Siberia.

It's only funny if you are actually joking about something relevant. Insulting a place he doesn't live is like me making a joke about someone elses mother at your expense.
