The Fear i Fear is not Out There,
The Fear i Fear is In Here.

mine. Goth poetry? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Would you prefer your Govt to Evolve, or Revolve?

well? the choice is partly yours...

Q. - If everything happens for a reason, what can i do if i don't like the reason?

a more accurate question would have been - "what happens if i don't like the happenings...?"

To Achieve Peace, Prepare for Peace.

hey, its just taken mankind thousands of years to get this far. Smart creature, made in gawds image? you betcha (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Before making a blind leap of faith, you must ask yourself - faith in what? This is a moral question.

yes.

Vatican City - an Ikon of the Catholic Church's devotion to the poor of the world.

says it all.

Open letter from gnuneo's solicitors: "my client categorically denies being, or regarding himself as being, despite having raging Messiah Complex, the personage Jesus historical or otherwise.". Even IF he existed. Which he doesnt.

in what manner does "gnuneo" exist; does he have physical form, is my physical body "gnuneo"? What IS gnuneo? And he is not amused that he so much resembles a previous boddhisatva, its definitely quite annoying. Messiah Complex? Where does *that* hall of mirrors end? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Its a thought of mine that one of the hallmarks of fascism, or control, is the lack of education, or at least true education - it seems to me the difference between a priest and a teacher is that the teacher teaches *how* to think, not *what*, whereas the priest has the exact opposite task.

"when truth is spoken so that it can be understood, it WILL be beleived".*

Capitalizing every word in a sentence gives me a headache.

If this was Groundhog Day - what would you do differently?

obvious.

QUOTE
"Man is the measure of all things.'' Yes, that's what he is saying about Quality. Man is not the source of all things, as the subjective idealists would say. Nor is he the passive observer of all things, as the objective idealists and materialists would say. The Quality which creates the world emerges as a relationship between man and his experience. He is a participant in the creation of all things. - Robert Pirsig.

Paganism is a saner form of religion because it doesn't have an 'end of days' at any point - having a 'we all fall down' scenario in a belief system is indicative of a suicidal mentality, not a sane one. The pagan belief of continuity and constant change without any doomsday scenarios is a far saner (and thus also safer) system. Just been reading Vivenne Crowley's 'Wicca', very interesting and a lot of you would enjoy it too, although more in the general philosophy rather than the beliefs for some of you perhaps.

still true.

Brothels run as full Capitalistic Partnerships should be legal. This would avoid the problems of Amsterdam, and give protection for the prostitutes.

Conservatives - can you remember when Diversity was considered a Good Thing™? Guess that was back in the Good ol' Days...

Congress should immediately suspend the Presidents ability to make war, or at the very LEAST remove the Nuclear Key except in circumstances of retaliation, when it should be up to the generals as well to make the decision. In fact the recommendations that came through after the Vietnam Invasion should be fully implemented. Attacking Iran is too much of an easy way out for this Admin to divert attention from its absolute policy failures in all areas.

[years later, a different president, and still accurate. This is one that i wish wasn't.]

The People Spoke.

He should have linked the thread in a new one.

But we have lax moderation here.
